Adobong Chicken with Mushroom. Adobo is a classic Filipino recipe. I used chicken as my main meat for this recipe. This is my own version of Chicken adobo, but to put a little twist to it.

Adobong Chicken with Mushroom Adobo is considered as one of Filipino's soul food. There are many different version of Adobo, some add potatoes, some recipes have sauce, others are drier and others add coconut milk. Everytime I make Adobong Sitaw, it reminds me of Alan Peneda's Bebot Song of Black Eyed Peas mentioning 'Yong Kanin, (the food) Chicken Adobo, though It's Adobo baby! You can have Adobong Chicken with Mushroom using 11 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

Ingredients of Adobong Chicken with Mushroom

  1. It's 1 kg of Chicken, cut into serving pieces.
  2. Prepare 4 tbsp of Soy Sauce.
  3. It's 2 tbsp of Vinegar.
  4. Prepare 3 cloves of garlic, crushed.
  5. It's 1 of onion, chopped into small pieces.
  6. It's 1-2 cups of water.
  7. Prepare 1/4 cup of cooking oil.
  8. Prepare 1/2 tbsp of white sugar.
  9. Prepare of Salt and Pepper.
  10. Prepare 3 pieces of Mushrooms, sliced vertically.
  11. Prepare of Vegetable Salad for garnishing.

Adobong Sitaw - Asian long beans sauteed with Shiitake mushrooms and all the ingredients used in a Filipino Adobo Recipe. Adobong manok, often called "chicken adobo," is often considered the national dish of the Philippines. The vinegar marinade makes a dish that stores very well in the Filipino heat. Adobong Manok. Adobong Chicken with Mushroom instructions

  1. In a large container, combine the soy sauce and garlic then marinade the chicken for at least 1 to 3 hours.
  2. Place the cooking oil in a pan and apply heat..
  3. When the oil is hot enough, saute onions and mushrooms and put-in the marinated chicken. Cook all the sides for about 5 minutes..
  4. Pour-in the remaining marinade and add water. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 30 minutes or until the chicken is tender..
  5. Add vinegar. Stir and cook for 10 minutes..
  6. Put-in the sugar, and salt. Stir and turn the heat off..
  7. Serve hot. Share and Enjoy!.

Transfer the chicken and marinade to a large, deep saucepan. Transfer to a serving bowl, scatter with extra chillies, if using, and serve with steamed rice. Chicken adobo is also a great, easy meal; my version uses coconut to add a little richness to the sauce. I've seen adobong mushrooms before and I want to try it out someday. Adding mushrooms also sounds like a good way to stretch a chicken adobo meal to feed more people. 🙂 Love your.
